We recommend using CA North Gelskin Scrub before application.
How to Use
Apply desired amount into hands or mitt (not included). Apply to skin using circular motions, working one section at a time. Allow skin to air dry before dressing. We recommend using CA North Gelskin Scrub to exfoliate the skin prior to using self-tanner. Color depth gradually builds with each use.
Caution: if product enters eyes, wash thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

“I have used California North Self Tanner for 10+ years. Can’t remember how I found it, but know that what appealed to me was the natural tan, ingredients my sensitive skin would tolerate, and the SPF protection – enough for daily use/when not in prolonged outdoor activities. I can apply this daily, as I would a moisturizer/body lotion, and have a natural tan on my otherwise fair, ‘too white for shorts or short sleeves body’, with some SPF protection. “I’ve depended on this self tanner for 20+ years. Blonde, fair skinned, I stumbled upon this product 20+ years ago when I was told I had to wear daily sun protection – no more tanning. I tried every available product, and still check out the new ones. This is still the best. Natural ‘tan’, easy to apply (I apply almost daily during the summer months), super mild, pleasant scent (I don’t smell it, but I’ve often been asked about the pleasant scent/cologne I’m wearing in the am when I’ve recently applied it). I literally depend on this as soon as the weather warms enough for short sleeves and shorts. When I first started ordering this, there was an SPF label – think it was 4 or 7. It is no longer labeled as such, but the ingredients still include titanium dioxide, and it still works for me – the low level I need for minimal sun exposure, but some protection.
Oh yes.. and my husband borrows it when he switches to shorts for golfing. “

I’ve been using this self tanner for years. It definitely gives me a natural looking tan. The downside is that it stains my clothes and can’t be washed out. It has ruined a couple of my tops and my pajamas are all marked. Yet this product is so natural that I continue to use it and make sure I’m careful what I wear now.

I’ve used a lot of self tanners over the years since I have a pale complexion, but not anymore. With this self tanner, everyone compliments me about my tan. I’m often asked where did I go over the weekend to get some sun. I tell them I went to California, I just don’t say it’s California North! Very natural golden brown tan color. Love this product and Jim, the owner, is just great. I had issue when I ordered the wrong product (my fault not theirs) and I emailed them, Jim responded and corrected it for me. Great product great company!

I recently purchased this sunless tanner after reading lots of reviews and I must say I am quite pleased with the results. It is a natural looking tan (I am quite pale), not too dark or orange and there is really no odor. After the first application, you should re-apply after a few hours. The next morning I was pleasantly surprised at the color and you can skip a couple of days before needing to apply more, instead of the usual every other day. I highly recommend this product!

Is it too much to ask for a face tanner with true moisturizing benefits? Not anymore! LOVE this product!! Have tried SO many other face tanning products…this one adds moisture and color…and love the lightness of the color! Knowing you can apply the next day for darker color gives me easy control, and what’s not to love about that!

This is the best self-tanner ever. You will not turn orange. Very natural looking. Just make sure to apply evenly – goes on like regular skin lotion. If you happen to already be tan, this product will make your tan last longer. Definitely worth the cost.
